Divisional boundary reviews

Divisional boundaries are reviewed by the Electoral Commission Queensland in the year before the Local Government Quadrennial Elections. The review ensures each division has relatively the same number of electors.

Due to ongoing population growth in some parts of the Gold Coast, the 2019 divisional boundary review resulted in some significant changes.

The new boundaries came into effect with the March 2020 local government elections. Refer to the new maps or the instructions below to check your local division.
