Our community development program increases positive local connections, reduces social isolation and maintains a strong sense of belonging, identity and pride by providing the following services to our community:
The City offers a variety of facilities for public use, including over 40 community centres, 13 branch libraries, eight aquatic centres, more than 3800 parks and eight cemeteries.
We also have approximately 400 community facility leases with sporting clubs and other community organisations across the city.

Our Active and Healthy program consists of over 170 free and low cost activities per week, catering to people of all ages and abilities.
