Freshwater Mullet

The Freshwater Mullet (Myxus petardi) is a slender fish with a dusky-brown back, silvery sides and belly, and straw-coloured fins. It is found in gently flowing rivers and in estuaries and coastal seas during spawning runs. The species feeds mostly on algae and other plant material (Allen et al. 2003).
