Community safety

The safety of our community continues to be a priority during the COVID-19 pandemic. Information about staying safe and seeking assistance during this time of uncertainty is available. We are all in this together.

City of Gold Coast works in partnership with police, community and industry groups to create a safe community for residents and visitors. We want all residents and visitors to be able to experience the unique lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer, free from fear of crime.

In case of an emergency, call Triple Zero (000) or to report a non-urgent crime or incident, or for general police enquiries, phone Policelink 131 444.

Safety and security

Feeling safe and confident helps us to stay connected and makes it easier to enjoy community life. Information about staying safe by practising social distancing, protecting your personal and online safety, and adopting safety strategies to prevent crime is available. We also support a safer environment by promoting the Get Home Safe Programs, Safer Suburbs Awards and monitoring the Gold Coast Safety Camera Network.
