Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts

The health and wellbeing of the Gold Coast community, our customers and City employees is our first priority.

The City is receiving advice from the Federal Government and Queensland Health on a daily basis to inform our response to the Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the city.

All after school and school holiday youth programs are closed until further notice. Our team are working toward developing online content to connect youth. Email youthhubs@goldcoast.qld.gov.au for further information.

After school and school holiday programs operate from various City of Gold Coast community centres. The programs are designed for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years, and all activities are free.

The programs incorporate a range of activities designed for young people and are relevant to their age group.

The after school program provides a fun place to meet and hang out with local young people, listen to music, play sport games, board games, ping pong and pool - there are also activities such as learner driver preparation, homework assistance and resumé development.

The school holiday programs run for between one and four weeks, depending on the length of the school holiday break.
